The tower-type FOD detection system is a comprehensive equipment based on the tower that integrates a new system millimeter wave detection radar and high-definition optoelectronic surveillance to obtain evidence. The millimeter wave detection radar adopts the patented arc synthetic aperture high-resolution imaging technology, which has the advantages of high detection sensitivity, long detection range, high positioning accuracy, high resistance to interference from rain and snow, low electromagnetic radiation, low comprehensive use cost, etc. The system software platform is complete and advanced, conforms to the airport business process, so it can be used for FOD monitoring in medium and large civil aviation airports and military aviation airports.

System composition
Airport runway foreign object debris detection system consists of three parts: intelligent FOD monitoring information processing, display and control subsystem, namely cloud data center, monitoring sensor subsystem and FOD removal operation subsystem.

The intelligent FOD display and control information processing cloud center consists of intelligent display and control platform software, intelligent FOD information processing cloud platform, user-side mobile FOD display and control terminal, electronic and communication subsystem, responsible for information processing,storing, display, equipment management and control, comprehensive processing and calculation of data detected by FOD sensor, data merging, FOD information management and display, FOD event recognition, management operation, FOD event mobilization processing and communication with airport air traffic control system.
The tower-type observation and perception sensorsubsystem is mainly composed of high-resolution arc synthetic apertureimaging radar, high-definition optical-electronic unit, radar and visual data intelligent edge computing unit and other parts. Basically, the radar detects the runway, the optical-electronic unit collects evidence, confirms and identifies, and performs fusion processing of radar and visual data.
The cleaning operation subsystem is mainly composed of FOD manual processing team and mobile FOD information display and control terminal, which is responsible for FOD disposal and FOD information recording and archiving.
